Milk sugar in your stout is like cream in your coffee. Just enough sweetness to keep the dark roast in check. Rich and robust, our classic Milk Stout exhibits notes of dark chocolate, freshly brewed coffee, caramelized sugar and roasted malt.

35,5cl bottle at Parkteatret, Oslo. Pours very dark brown with a lasting beige head. Moderate roasty aroma with notes of milk chocolate, caramel and hints of hops. Medium sweet with mild roasty flavours and a fairly balanced bitterness. Tasty and enjoyable.

12 oz nitro bottle bottomed up into Sam Smith imp pint glass A: Black brown color. Nitro show lasts 10-20 seconds. Head retains well and even hangs onto the neck of the bottle. Laces like a blanket. S: Bitter chocolate and toasted dark bread. Subtle. T: So silky smooth as almost seems someone slipped me a chocolate soda. Bitter but smooth and sweetish now is the chocolate malt. A hint of hop also now noticed towards the middle. This is a rare stout that I can drink 2-3 of. Very good! M: Watery or rather milky texture belies the 6%abv. Warming swallow though. Carbonation is very present but silky smooth and not at all unpleasant. Finishes wet but clean. O: Probably my favorite stout to date. I will have to sample a non-nitro bottle and compare textures. Well done and highly recommended.

12oz bottle from MItsuya’s in Asagaya, Tokyo. Poured into an English tulip pint. Ink black with a modest tan head. Carbonation is very fine. Toasted malts, chocolate, cream, toasted marshmallow aroma present. Creamy mouthfeel with thin body. Malt, chocolate, spearmint, coffee and milk are all present flavors as it settles at room temperature. Thin body, dry finish.

Nitro-labeled bottle, served in tulip glass. Sweet chocolate aroma, almost black with creamy tan head. Milk chocolate and toffee flavor, thin-bodied. Medium finish, not cloying. Better to let it warm a bit. Not enough body for my stout preferences, but quite good.

Poured from a bottle a nice rich opaque dark with a slim head the color of a coffee milkshake. Tastes not unlike a malted either. Good but not out of this world.
