German Smoked Ale
Beech smoked malt from Bamberg, Vienna malt and English red crystal malt are in perfect balance. This beer is about wood smoke and rich dark sugar. Gentle English Northdown and Challenger hops provide an earthy backdrop. Perfect for the dark winter evenings and bonfire night.

Cask at Waiting Room, Durham station. Deep amber colour, thin tan foam head leaving some spotty lacing and aroma of berry, pine. Taste is smokey malt, with berry & blackcurrant notes, plus some woody spruce. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Quite OK.
