A chocolatier enters the brewery ... The start of a joke? No, it is not. It's the start of our sixth test brew! Because in the city brewery, craftsmen fully inspire each other. This was also the case with Jitsk and Sven: one is a chocolatier, the other a brewmaster

Sample at de koninck, antwerp. Dark brown color, dark, hazed. Big creamy beige head. Aroma of licorice, chocolate, toasted flavors, with hints of cherry, tobacco, roots, mint. Taste is complex, there?s a babe smoked fish aftertaste. Complex taste, sweetish, fairly balanced, juicy. South balsamic finish. Powerful, not an easy one.

Sampled from tap at Beer Garden. Dark brown with cream head. Sweet roasted malts, milky, sweet and a lot of vegetal and licorice notes going on. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body, quite thin. Soft carbonation.

23/IV/17 - on tap @ Zythos Bier Festival 2017 (Leuven) - BB: n/a (2017-543) Thanks to kraddel for sharing today's beers!

clear purple brown beer, creamy irregular beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very minty, bah, that smells bad for a beer, lots of peppermint, not much else. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very minty, some chocolate indeed, not much else. Aftertaste: more of the same stuff. Man, who decided this would be a good idea? I say no...
