Wee bottle many thx to adnielsen cons 2012-11-24 Göteborg AR: mixtur of dark chocolate and soft smooth milk chocolate, little vanilla, and perhaps some bourbone oaked sences, when poured the aromas as strong from the bottle skift AP: pitch black with a tiny dark ruby rim, 4 cm high thick and fizzy slowly deminishing dark cacao brown, wee lacing F: very thick fluid, first soft milk chocolate then à very warming feeling, dark followed by another darker type of chocolate. Not bitter but still high cacao % . Wee sweet feeling, bourbon vanilla seeds, wee bourbon fresh barrels, wee coffee, butter fudgy. First the carbonation is fizzy, then transfers into à much softer mood, medium bitterness. Not. must be among the top 10 most high alcholic approx 18% - were it isn’t that evident strong. Ie very extremly well camouflaged. Finish is long and lingering, the first softer chocolate is back again. WARNING! high risk that you will consume it to fast - take it easy and keep on sipping!

Bottle from Petrol Station. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head that quickly diminishes to nothing. The aroma is roasted malt chocolate and bourbon. Thick mouthfeel with a strong roast and chocolate with bourbon in the finish. Alcohol present but not overpowering for 17%. A very impressive imperial stout from Avery.

12 oz. bottle, sent from doobliebop (thanks a lot, Ryan!). Pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma is very rich, full of bourbon barrels and dark chocolate fudge upfront, some oatmeal and dark roasted malt. Flavour is extremely rich and quite sweet, of liqueur, dark chocolate fudge, soy sauce and lots of alcohol - not much bourbon flavours, the effect from the barrel aging is quite present in the booziness and light wood flavours. The sweetness doesn't cloy, but the alcohol burns quite a bit, though without detracting from drinkability (for a 17+% beer) or complexity. Very good, if a boozy bourbon bomb.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a pitch black with a smallish brown head. Sweet roasty aroma, sweet Bourbon as well. Very rich body, sweet roast, dark dried fruit and loads of Bourbon heat. No real bitterness. The alcohol is not exactly hidden but it’s not really boozy or cloying. 150812
