Growler by mail order from the brewery online shop. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate and cherry, not surprisingly. Taste is heavier on the chocolate, light dark cherry at the back. Soft carbonation, sweet finish.

Third by cask, third day of GBBF Winter 20, Astbury Bar. Shared with Finn. Jet black body, bare naked surface, scattered lacing. Inviting aromas of dark berries and semi sweet malts. Fine blended taste of cherries and chocolate malts. Mildly roasted ending, mid sweet. Pleasing. (Birmingham 06.02.2020).

På GBBF Winter 2020 i Birmingham. Delt med Rune. Svart. Luftig skumring med litt farge. Lakrisaroma. Smaken mørke plommer. Tørr. Litt kirsebær i avslutning.

Sample courtesy Grumbo. Frothy off-white fair mostly diminishing head. Black colour. MOderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Chocolate and week cherry notes. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Sample courtesy Grumbo. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, caramel, fruits, hops and has a sweet warming finish.

16/4/2019. Cask from 2019 Newcastle Beer and Cider Festival, sample courtesy of danlo, cheers Ed. Pours very dark brown with a small short lasting beige head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, lactose, roasted malt and black forest gateaux. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium plus body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Sweet milk chocolate finish. Cherry is very mild. Enjoyable.

Cask at Newcastle Beer & Cider Fest 2019. Black colour, beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roasted malt, chocolate & coffee. Taste is roasty malt, chocolate & coffee, with dark cherry, and ashy earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry dark fruity roasty bitter finish. Quite drinkable
