incredibly hazy golden colour, moderate sized white head; aroma of orange zest, apricot, boiled celery, overripe tropical fruits, and toffee notes; taste is the same; strange...anyway, I really like it

Bottle @ Beer Club Pula, Croatia. Heavy gusher that pours hazy dark yellow with a fading white head. Aroma of malt, yeast, light brett, sweet fruit, ripe peach, some sweet citrus, orange. Flavor is light sweet at first, light bitter, light malty, brett, fruit, citrus. Medium body, lively carbonation, light bitter and lasting dry finish. 030816

Bottle at home. Bit of a gusher in classic Alvinne style. Deep golden with some little particles drifting around. Some funk, sweet malts and toffee, hay, lots of fruit skins, grapefruit, marmalade. Really massive bitter herbal and grassy hops. Over medium sweet, light sour and very bitter with a long lasting puckering bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft oily feel. It’s interesting, but the bitter finish is a bit over the top. There’s a huge contrast between that and the nice aromas.

Hazy dark orange color with tan white head. Aroma is lots of floral and citrus hops, bread, spicy yeasts, a bit dusty. Taste is the same, very bready, dry bitter finish. 8% not noticeable. The bitterness feels a bit medicinal. Rather high carbonation. Quite extreme. Both aroma and flavours have a touch or Orval character, but drift off in a completely different direction.

(Bottle, Nuetnigenough, Brussels, 17 Oct 2015) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fair amount of yeast sediment in the bottle. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of white bread, grassy hops and some yeast. Malty, hoppy taste with bread, grass, citrus, a touch of yeast and a generous grassy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty, with a generous grassy hop character. Nice one.

Bottl. Nose is funky, yeast, perfume, strawberry, hint of grape, hops, dust, hint of tobacco leaf. Taste is hops, peach, funk, hint of summer fruits, leading to a herbal, meidicinal, pine and funky finish. Hints of citrus with lots of lime in the body, grapefruit emerging. Complex and interesting, but as with all the Alvinne, beers I’ve tried, they are all interesting, but I never love them,

Bottle at 100 piv. Bretty aroma but fortunately not as bretty in flavour. Rather complex. Classic bretty bubblegum, but also spicy and earthy. Leathery barnyard. Very good but falls short of excellence. For one I seriously doubt the 115 IBUs they claim on the label.
