There are two ways of making American IPA. One is when you make beer from basic ingredients with basic techniques, and the added American hop will give the beer its character. The other is when you try to uniquely balance the flavor with the American hop, giving the beer its own character. Flying Rabbit is the latter. We use 5 different kinds of malt during brewing, then we add the popular Citra hop. It smells and tastes like a tropical fruit, starts out sweet with a bitter aftertaste. It was born to fly.

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival, Friday 22nd September 2017. Pours gold, this is a most enjoyable IPA, no bells or whistles just a solid IPA. I should have been a bit more descriptive I know but when I went back to it Loz had polished it off, but it was nice. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Tap at Szimpla Kert, Budapest. Poured a hazy medium amber with a bubbly white head. The aroma is light floral resin grassy hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a crisp refreshing light resin hop bitter, light fruit palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Tasted like an imperial IPA with all that woody bitterness. I would have welcomed more fruit.

From Kisüzem. Shared with Hrabren. Love the label! :D Poured a lovely murky amber red body with a tiny white head. Nice herbal, peachy aroma, light dank note, malt in the background, light caramel. OK malty taste, candyish, some herbal hoppiness, slighly peachy but not as fruity as I’d liked. OK bitterness. Well, more on the mark than most Hungarian IPAs, but not a world beater. Good beer nonetheless.

0.33 l brought to me by Marko. Thanks. Shared with him. Murky orange to amber. Citrus hops, tropical, medium to heavy hopped. Taste disappointing, light dry. Soft to medium carbonation, light to medium body, lacks body, moderate hoppy finish. Not bad.
