From tap @Pien Brewpub, Helsinki. Poured dark brown in color with a tan head. Nice aroma of strong coffee, roasted malts. But also some earthy notes and beetroot aroma as well as in flavor. Overpowering as it warms up a little. Needs rerate, not very good now.

On tap at the stadsbrouwhuis. Pours very dark brown with little head. Aroma is nutty, lots of coffee, some chocolate, a bit of roast. Medium to big body. Flavour is malty and rich, loads of coffee and chocolate. Hazelnut is long and lingering. Beautiful beer!

Draught @ MBCC 2019 - Yellow Session
Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, coffee overload, chocolate and caramel. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long coffee, chocolate and caramel finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

440ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. A slowly diminishing tan head leaving clingy lacing behind. Black in the glass. Chocolate aromas added by black berries, quite promising. Blended dark malt driven taste profile of nutty chocolate, dark berries, and mocha coffee notes. Lactose backbone. Warming ending with slightly bitter chocolate. Oily palate. Decent sipper on a Friday eve, but not that great. (Tromsø 12.06.2020).

Drukket på Bergstua. Kullsvart. Høyt lysebrunt skum som daler sakte. Aroma av lær & kaffe. Smaken mere kaffe. Hint av lakris i en tørr avslutning. Vel mye kaffe.

Can from Utobeer, at home in front of the fire, Saturday afternoon, 28th March 2020. Pours black and thick, big tan head. Aroma is coffee, soy, bitter coffee bean, vanilla, dark chocolate. Taste is coffee bean encased in dark chocolate, without the crunch, some sweetness, but it doesn’t ruin the bitter, roasty, coffee and cocoa porter. Great beer.
