Sampled at THT September. Bit hazy golden with no lasting head. Nice farmyard notes, apple peel, light sweet apple juice, hay, pear, straw, leathery. Almost medium sweet, very light bitter and tart. Medium bodied. Lovely and very true to the Normand style. I love it.

Corked bottle, from Le Repaire de Bacchus, 40 rue Damrémont, Paris; cork 08-04
Aggressive carbonation; it pours a cloudy blond color, without head, but with a nice perlage. The aroma shows soft tannins, and apple skins. It’s highly carbonated, possibly there has been an excess of fermentation in the bottle, and the body is as dry as for the Brut; mild apple flavor, but the tannins and astringency, even if soft, are more present than in the Brut. Good.
