Bottle from the Elsfleth Hol-Ab. Deep gold to amber with a thin, creamy head. Toffee and herbal aroma with indistinct fruity undertones. Taste is caramel sweet, buttery, full of flavored dough, and there’s a certain pungency to the whole affair. The hint of herbal bitterness at the finish fades into buttery apple pie. Medium-bodied, mostly mild carbonation. Kept me entertained.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Pours an almost clear golden colour with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of cereals, grains, bread and honey. Taste has more of the same notes again with a smooth sweetish malty finish. Medium body, average carbonation and smooth silky oily mouthfeel. Very nice tasty Marzen

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear deep golden body with a thin white head. Low carbonation. Aroma of cornflakes and straw. Flavour of copper and honey. Medium body with a chewy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Slightly metallic but a tasty strong Lager.

Flaska från Hier Gibt's Bier. Klar gyllenfärgad vätska med lågt krämigt skum. Lite dammig säd, honung, bröd, frukt. Medelstor kropp och sötma men en fyllig munkänsla. Lätt beska och drickvänlig. Trevlig

St. GeorgenBräu Goldmärzen, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Kupfergoldbraun, klar. - In der Nase warm toastig-karamelliges Malz, Brotkruste, herbaler Hopfen, leicht weinig. - Antrunk tief und kernig gerstig-karamelmalzig mit Toastnoten, ätherischen Kräutern und Orangenschale von kräftiger, fast scharfer Bittere. Feine Malzsüße, zarte Honignote. Milder rezent, vollmundig, leicht alkoholisch. Im Abgang ordentliche herbale Hopfenbittere, zart ranzig. - Kernig malziges, schön bitteres Märzen. Prima! (6.11.2020.)
Als St. GeorgenBräu Winterbier, Flasche von Grabsch, Berlin. - Ähnelt sehr dem oben beschriebenen Bier. Auch die ausführliche Beschreibung von Zutaten und Brauverfahren auf dem Etikett ist wortgleich mit den Angaben zum Goldmärzen auf der Website der Brauerei (die kein Winterbier erwähnt). Mit ziemlicher Sicherheit das gleiche Bier. (26.12.2020.)

Bottle 500ml (Osteria da Filippo, Rauma). Amber colour, small beige head and lace. Aroma is malty, grainy. Light-bodied. Malty, grainy, earthy hoppy flavour. Not much caramalt in the flavour. Standard.

0,5 l bottle, clear dark golden, more than one finger foamy white head. Grainy grassy smell. Taste starts with dry grain and malt, some hop and fruitieness in the background. Little bit dry and hints of metallic elements. Low carbonated. Okay.

Tap. Quite clear amber color with white head. Aroma is a bit vegetal, earthy, caramel, grains. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Not for me.

Light amber color. Only slight malty and fruity aroma. Also some fruitiness in the flavor, especially pear and mango. Malty with a hint of smokiness. Bottle, sold as Zimbus Drachenblut. Swing top bottle. Dark brown color, foamy head. malt, hint of cherry juice and caramel in the aroma.Malty, nutty roast flavor with caramel. Nutty bitter aftertaste. maybe a bit thin, but a tasty and friendly beer. (6 4 6 2 13 = 3.1). Are Gold Märzen and Zimbus really the same beer? Flavor, aroma and color differ.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, medium to full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, hayish, decently bitter. Easy to drink, pleasant. 7-4-7-4-16.
