Sampled draft @ Tilburgs Bierfestival 2015. Black, mocha, little tanned head. Nose is umami, shitake, liquorish & mushroom, interesting,… Taste is shitake, umami, liquorish, some vegetable chili, serious burn, some soy sauce,… A bit fizzy & flat,… Most people disliked it but I found it to be okay even if a bit odd. (Thanks for sharing!)

Bottle 30cl (AIH40)
Almost opaque black color, steady brownish head. Aroma is cellary/earthy with chocolate hints. Medium-bodied. Well, it has chilli burn. Very hot spicey with some roasted notes and perharps some tartish flavors too. Medicinal notes too. Good beer or bad beer? Aroma was off-putting and flavor is challenging.

Bottled@AIH40. (from biernavigator). More or less black colour, huge off-white fluffy head, very lively when pouring. Aroma is spices, some wet wood, mild sour wooden notes as well as some old coffee. Flavour is strange kind of sour wood meeting a big burn that just grows and grows until it burns rather much in the throat and mouth. This one is not all too gently spiced...

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus, Joes and Ansjelaah. Dark brown to black color, dense tan head. Don’t get a lot of aroma really, perhaps a hint of pepper. That said, I only took a very small pour. Taste is pure pepper, burning scorching hot. That said, I can’t stand hot and spicy food at all, so maybe it’s just me. But to me this is horrible and undrinkable.

Bottle @ home. Dark brown to black colour with a medium sized beige head. Smells peppery, roasty. Tastes peppery. I hate peppers. Burns pretty bad for a Scoville lightweight like me. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a clear dark brown with a super frothy light tan head. It looked like there was washing up liquid in the bottle. The aroma is malt, light caramel, citrus. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a huge chilli spice, sweet malt, light medicinal citrus palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Pretty awful all round tbh. A poor beer into which they threw some chillis.

Bottle sampled at the Botermarkt Beer Festival. Pours murky dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of vegetables, chillis, sweet malt, light vinegar, caramel and roast. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Major chilli burn in the palate. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Black with big head. Chocolatey aroma. Flavour has initial roasted malt and chocolate. Later the chilli kicks in. Initially fruity then burning. Any hotter and it would be hard to drink but it’s just about okay.

33cl bottle. Near black, thick brownish head. Roasty, licoricy, slightly bready aroma. Flavor has roasted malt and really peppery, chili burn, alcohol. Quite the burn here. Me not like.
