Anosteké Prestige is brewed with barley, wheat and rye malts. The result is a full and round body with intense cereal aromas and flavours. As always, the hops are straightforward, both in their fruity notes and their marked bitterness.

RE:RATE 75cl bottle shared with Eric in Eecke. Much more of a rounded flavour this time around, less spicy, less sweet, much more drinkable. Uprated from last time. 75cl bottle @ Shrewsbury Beer Share, Jan 15, brought by me. Pours hazy amber with floral aroma. Taste was not what I expected. Overly sweet, sugary wit with smudged spice and blurred fruitiness but ultimately fairly light in taste. Don’t think this hit it off with anyone here tonight.

Bottled at Växjö Ölfestival. Hazy golden, coarse head. Sweaty citrus aroma. Mid sweet with medium-full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Ripe fruit, pears, grapefruit. Mid bitter finish.

75cl bottle at the January 2015 Shrewsbury Bottle Exchange: cheers Mat for bringing this. Sadly it wasn’t as prestige as it’s name suggested, I found it dull and bland. Split between five of us. Misty old gold in looks, oily texture with a floral hop and biscuity malt aroma and taste, semi-bitter overall, but lacking in depth and flavour. Mildly posh label hides the fact this is a supermarket brew and not prestige at all.
