It is time to brew a naked version of a classic Belgian
beauty. It's a tripel brewed with BOM malt and Belgian
hop to give her the elegant sexy sweetness and natural
perfume she is known for. No dress-up with new-world
fashion hops or spices is needed to seduce all your
senses.

A golden beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fruitness, fresh and dried, apricot, perry, some spicyness. Taste has drid fruits, but it's fresh, some spicyness. Medium+ bodied. More dried fruits and richness as usually. Good beer.

Orangey copper colour with thin head. Aroma is predominantly sweet and malty. Decent body. Not an overly sweet taste. Yeasty aftertaste.

33cl bottle from Spar Oostende. F: almost medium yet not long lasting, white. C: deep gold, light hazy. A: malty, bit bready, red apples peels, bit spicy, banana, mineral, honey. T: almost full malty base, fruity, apricot, bit juniper alcohol, grainy, banana touch, orange, spicy, soft carbonation, ok another tripel that’s all, easy forgettable beer.

New tripel by this classic but usually very solid brewery that bakes its own malt; bottle from Kevin's BeerShop in Kontich near Antwerp. Thick and foamy, frothy, snow white, coarse, cobweb-lacing head, hazy pale orange-tinged 'old gold' with a suspension of flaky yeast bits throughout, equally misty with sediment poured in. Aroma of freshly baked white bread, red apple, unfortunately strong DMS (overcooked broccoli), dusty coriander seed, sweet potato mash, light banana (subtle even - much more so than expected based on the classic tripel premise), honey, rainwater, dried orange zest, gin, peach. Bit estery-fruity onset but again, not much of the typical banana isoamylacetate, rather some pineapple, pear and apricot notes, fizzy carbonation, minerally and a bit stinging initially, slick mouthfeel. Cereally, white-bready pale malt sweetish body with a very thin caramelly touch somewhere, dried by a confident, though nowhere harsh, rather earthy hop bitterness in the finish, with accompanying spicy accents but - alas - the retronasal return of that DMS as well. Cereally malt sweetishness lingers together with this earthy hoppiness, but the latter lasts for quite a while and performs its drying job very well; gin-like, warming but not obnoxious alcohol is obviously present too. Streamlined, dryish but indeed still classic tripel, with that strong DMS presence ruining it for me - without it, this would have been a lot better, but still rather unremarkable within this brewery's range. Weird that they come up with this now, feels like it should have been one of their starter beers, really...
