Was expecting a travesty but got a fun IPA, instead. Hazy orange. Loads of citrus, herbal, earthy, spicy notes. The gin is present but not in a gin way. It’s botanical bouquet really adds a pleasant twist to the IPA. It’s a pretty hefty brew so definitely a sipper. Really nice.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - deep amber orange with a generous fluffy head. A bit lively if truthful. Nose - orange and medicinal. Boozy edge. Taste - green notes, possibly juniper. Dry green boozy notes again. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - I’m really not sure what business a gin barrel has near an ipa but it’s not bad.

On tap at CBC 2016, yellow session. Pours dark orange to amber, off-white head. Hoppy, citrus, gin, herbal gin notes, spicy. Moderate sweetness with lasting bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice gin twist, not sure I’d be drinking pints of it, but interesting brew.
