The Brewmasters Collection India Pale Ale is an amber dry-hopped and finely balanced ale with extra hops to give it a characteristically refreshing signature. The aroma is fresh and marked by a hoppy bouquet with notes of elderflower. The taste is malt balanced with a nice bitterness in the aftertaste.

A slightly brown, a head is almost medium and blond. Aroma has strong sweetness of syrup, dry cake with toffee, herbs and wood, hint of fruits. Taste isn’t so sweet than aroma but still quite sweet. Caramel, some fruitness, mild bitterness. Quite light bodied. Caramel and sweetness, not like this.

1 Pint on tap at a restaurant in Copenhagen. Amber colour. Nice balanced between malt and hop, little bit fruity. But to be honest not that what I expect from an IPA.

Can from local supermarket. Clear pale orange with a small off-white head that lasts a bit. Some lacing persists on the glass. Aroma is malty with some caramel, hoppy with citrus, fruits. Malty nose. The taste is light sweet, light to moderate bitter. Short bitter finish.

Can@fonefan. Golden colour, mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is metallic, mildly floral and some wooden notes as well. Flavour is caramel, mild berries, some bitterness and a bit sweetish grainy notes.

33 cl can @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg.
Aroma is somewhat heavy and sweet with tropical fruits, minerals and mild metallc tones. Also biscuits. Flavour has cereal, biscuits, some tropical fruits, grapefruit and orange. Also metallic notes. Aroma was promising but this is just too watery. Not completely bad anyway.

Can. Pours clear amber with small white head. Aroma is vague with mild malty and light hopy with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and yoghurt. Taste is medium sweet, medium to very bitter and light to medium acidic. Body is light oily with sparkling carbonation. Finish is medium long and mostly bitter with notes of lemon, grapefruit, orange, malt and white sugar.

Draught at Cafe Bastard, Copenhagen. Clear, golden-amber colour with a thin, white head. Fruity aroma with pale malts, grasses, citrus, light biscuits and caramel malts. Taste is lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and an average carbonation. Finishes dry and bitter with fruity hints, grasses and subtle caramel. Feels more like an ESB than an IPA. Hops are somewhat restrained. Carlsberg is still a decent and solid macro offering.
