75cl bottle from Delhaize Bruges. Pours clear gold, thin persistent white head. Aroma of deep, caramelised apple fruit. Taste of stewed apples, caramelised, hints of cinnamon and brown sugar with a fair sweetness. Didn’t mind this, fairly fruity, perhaps a bit too much caramel sweetness. S’alright.

Very lively carbonation, giving life to small white head for scant seconds; coppery clear liquid. Toasted nose, old toasted bread, syrupy even... faraway from any apples, or it had to be concentrated juice. Faint sourishness, more akin to CO² than to fruit. Faint dried apples, diluted appleconcentrate.Aftertaste reveals some tannins, at last, if too late to save the overall impression. Overcarbonated, masking the viscous syrup. Terribly poor product, unworthy of the name Cidre Normand Brut.
