Granit after the granite seams that the roots of the pear trees stretch down to reach. The deep root system of the pear tree gives it its minerality. This is ever more present in this cuvée which is made from the oldest trees. Made from the maximum amount of varieties available depending on the vintage (4%).
Ideal with fine cuisines, fine foods, as an aperitif before fine white wines or at the end of a meal.

Bottle, courtesy of SinH4, many thanks! Pours clear palest yellow with a decent head. Aroma is pear, pear zest, chalk, caramel. Body is pure sweetest possible pear, very sweet and super fruity, strong carbonation. Caramel. Palate is fruity and sweet, but not too long. Unbelievably strong aroma, amazing!

Sampled from bottle at THT May. Clear light golden with no head. Sweet and dense apple, pear peels, almost sherrylike. Fresh ripe apples. Sweet, subtle sourness, cobwebby dusty bitterness. Bottle at THT May thanks to kermis. Clear very light straw with short lasting fizzy white head. Sour pear, smoked herbs, white grapes, sour gooseberries, there’s a light smoky sulphur note running through that does taste like flint. Pear skin, grainy pear. Over medium sour, very light sweet and dusty bitter. Light bodied with fizzy carbonation.

[9/27/15] Bottle sample at Borefts After Festival 2015 in Rotterdam. Thanks everyone who shared bottles! 2013 vintage, 4%. Golden. Pleasant pears aroma with some apples. Tart and slightly sweetish flavor with juicy pears and apples, and light funk. Lively carbonation. Very nice.

750 ml. bottle. Shared cost & bottle @ BAF 2015. Cheers. 2013 Vintage. 4 % ABV. Pale light golden, sparkling, very light coloured. Nose is sparkling, delicate sweet pear, sugar, flowers, apples, vanilla, juice, wood, light tannins. Taste is delicate flowers, sweet, pear, apple, white wine, sparling, vanilla, wood,… Sparkling. Very fruity & juicy. Gorgeous, delicate, very rich esp. at this ABV. Quite wine-like and I mean that in a good way.

Bottle sampled. Pours clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet pears, light funk, light sour pear and a little wood. Flavour is moderate sweet with a little sourness. Light to medium bodied with light carbonation.
