Draught Dark brown beer with mossy sheen. Sesame oil, very apparent, with soy sauce, as an Oriental marinade, chocolate. Rosewater, very aromatic, again a tickle of soy sauce; Faint sweetish, but on the opposite side of cloying. Low carbonation, medium bodied. FIRST: needs to be retried, beer too young and uncarbonated. Very promising, tasty. Somehow, Hildegarde’s dark beers always strike me as better than the lighter coloured ones.
