Bottle (Diky, Cuso!): Very deep amber coloured, small and stable brownish head, sugar, sweet caramel and milk-coffee in the slightly toasty nose; mainly sweet flavour, shy bitterness detectable; short sweet-toasty finish, sugar and artificial sweeteners ("sladidlo") detectable, a slight bitterness, caused by burnt malt, too. Not that bad, but a bit too artificial.....

(bottle) Dark brown, almost black colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Roast-malty and slightly ashy aroma with notes of milk coffee and artificial sweetener. Slightly sugary sweet and roasty-bitter and slightly tart flavour, light bodied with a soft carbonation. Roasty malty, slightly ashy taste with notes of caramel, shy hints of coffee and leafy and sugary notes towards the slightly roasty bitter and tart finish. Not great. 24.XI.11

Medium dark beige head over reddish tinted deep-brown beer. Rich chocolate nose, surprisintly intense for such a light beer; maybe a touch of liquorice. Again dark malts & grains, chocolate malt in particulat, and a clear, but not cloying sweetness. Clean flavour despite the restsugars. Medium carbonated, light body, grist texture and slickness. Flavours diminish gradually in the aftertaste, but it acquires a slight smokey streak after some warming up. Certainly for its ABV, very acceptable Dunkel! Many thanks for searching and bringing to Peter V.

Bottled, from Bratislava (3.8%) Dark brown, creamy head. Sweet and caramelly, light bodied. Somewhat bready with treacle and coffee. Low bitterness. Not really too sweet, just a bit messy.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Bottle in Bratislava. Dark lager. Bitter smoky start with a dry smoky finish. A little malty sweetness hinted at. Okay - a grower.
