Marks for Appearance are an average, as beer was sampled in weak artificial light after dark. Barrel aging clearly indicated in the nose. Fusels, alcohol and the necessary vanilla. Vanilla, Bourbon, sweet, but overpowered by the mouthfeel, which is extremely highly attenuated, giving a unparralleled fizzy feeling, with just alcoholburn following. Oversatuated - for a Barrel-aged beer! Not very enjoyable.

750ml bottle @Stoudts Invitational thanks Carol-pours a foamy tan head and dark copper color. Aroma is medium/dark malt-roasty, citrus hops. Taste is oak, dry-puckering dry, yeast, medium/dark malt-roasty/chocolate, wine, pine hops.
