Courtesy of tpd975. Pours very dark with nice brown head. The aroma is wood mixing with tart wine like barrel notes and some mild roastiness. The taste is chocolate, dark tart chocolate and some sour notes reminiscent of Alpine’s Boris. It gets smooth into the finish with oak, toffee and caramel.

Black. Thick ad roasted malt. Very dry, just the heavily roasted malt/grain, with some oak. Smooth palate, alcohol is hidden.

Bottle 65 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, light brown head. Hard roasted malts in the nose with a light underlying Bretty tartness. Medium body, hard roasted malts and again this Bretty tartness. Interesting. 110709

22 oz bomber courtesy of the bvc. Pour is deep black and brown with a pretty 2 inch dark tan head. Head is thick and lasting, leaving behind splotchy lacing on the glass. Nice looking beer. Aroma of roasted malt, honey sweetness, and a nice dash of earthy pine bitterness. Pleasant nose, just a bit Faint and soft. Taste is roasty malt, sharp honey sweetness, some tobacco, brief bitterness in the finish. Palate is medium, creamy, with lively carbonation and a clean crisp finish. Alcohol did not show until this beer hit nearly room temperature. Overall, a nice drinkable bigger stout. Thanks Brandon.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. This beer might have suffered as the previous one in the line-up before it was North Coast Reserve Brandy. Pours with a light brown head over a black body. Aroma of coffee, lots of hops, chocolate, wood, and cinnamon. Taste is woody with chocolate, coffee and some citrus hops. Water like mouthfeel with light bubbles. Somewhat thin feeling for a Imperial Sout of this ABV.
