26/III/16 - 33cl bottle from Limburgs Bierweekend @ home - BB: n/a, as the back label was missing... (2016-287)

Clear blond beer, lots of small chunks floating around in de glass, big fluffy off-white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very yeasty, bit sourish, fruity touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, sweet malts, pretty bitter, some banana, little oxidized. Aftertaste: slightly sweet, spicy touch, some banan, oxidation notes.

The new name of Duivelsputbier, made for the Wisemaele pub in Wezemaal and sold only there and at the Wezemaal wine museum (the irony). Thick, coarse, snow white head, deep orange blonde colour, clear but quite large proteins hovering around. Aroma of orange juice, lemon zest, melon, mead, caramel, cognac, grass; soft fruity taste, very orangey, lemony touch, thinnish caramel malt base, aromatic spiciness, some grassy hops and warming alcohol in the finish. Quite tasty but insufficient body for me, at least for an 8% ABV beer.

Good, slighlty ochre head, over light copper-gold beer. Very flowery nose, unripe fruity, strawberry, delicate but obviously psiced; Sweet-sourish initially, ending in just bitter-roasted, with hard gingerbread speculoos, toasted malts with some bitterness. Medium bodied, slickness, just a hint of alcohol in the finish. Very nice nose. Balanced beer, but it bores quickly.
