Special beer marked by typical italian black truffle, coppery color and a persistent foam. The taste is balanced and the flavour is extremely complex . The various hints of earth are followed by aromas of truffle, which donate their aftertaste gently flavours.

On tap at luppoleria Piacenza. Appearance is very dark brown with a beautiful foam head which remains for a long time. Carbonation is rather intense. Aroma is really different and intriguing. Lots of spices, vegetable-like, refreshing, some dark malts, chocolate. Flavour is very spicy, complex and a multitude of herbal tastes. There’s some bitterness but not too much. Dark malt and chocolate flavour is very pronounced. Rather sweet with caramel notes. Can’t get any truffles flavour but that’s not really a problem, this is anyway a great beer. Great spice beer/porter!

Short-lived, off-white head; slightly hazy orange-amber beer. Very spicy nose, minty, sweet pepper - but I can’t get truffle aroma. Dry, leafy, autumnleaves, alcohol and fusels, retronasal even like old brandy, and cinnamon in the finish. Alcoholburn, sharpish; slick and medium bodied. Very interesting beer. I’m convinced the beer might have benefitted from being even more stressed on the truffles. Mille grazie to Lorenzo and the Italian gang!
