Strongish blonde with off-white, thick, moussy, unstable head and misty peach blonde colour. Aroma of peaches, dust, earth, nutmeg, cooked rhubarb, ginger, straw and lemon peel. Neutral onset, restrained fruitiness, bit citrussy, refreshing at first but quickly becoming dusty and cardboard-like, spicy on a smooth, sweetish malt base, light herbal hoppiness but not really bitter and quickly fading away. Lacks personality compared with the other Brootcoorens beers.

Fine, yellowish head, fast receding over orange-golden beer, slightly hazy. Vegetable nose, pasta cooking water, cold, wet malts. Sharp vegetable flavour, mixed with faintly bitter almonds. Despite visible carbonation, the beer feels flat. Thinnish. Finish gets sweeter and sweeter in time. Very lame, disappointing beer; I wonder what they’re planning @ Erquelinnes.
