Wit is a crisp and hazy Belgian-Style Wit. Wit is Weyerbacher’s thirst-quenching spring and early summer ale. The nose has a light spiciness from the coriander, orange peel, grains of paradise, and star anise. The palate reveals a mild, refreshing and effervescent wheat beer that finishes with just a hint of tartness.

bottle - Pours light gold with a touch of haze and a thin, quickly dissipating head. It smells mainly of citrus and wheat. The flavor is sweet and citrusy. There’s just a slight hint of spice in there. It’s light bodied and while it’s not really watery, it does taste kind of bland. Not bad.

Pours gold into a tumbler. White head recedes to skim surface. Orange and coriander aromas. Sweet citrus upfront and crisp. Lasting yeasty wheat finish.

12oz bottle...cloudy straw body with an off-white head...a fresh yeasty aroma with a touch of clove and light grassy-hay like scent...nice body...clove and lemon dominate the palate...it finishes with a yeasty hay/straw taste followed by some light orange....could see this being good on a humid day...a smidgen of na-na in the mid-palate, but it took a few sips to detect it...an average wit...as it gets warm, not so great

Lemon-yellow beer, small white head. Soupy, coriander mash. Ugh! Coriandersoup with a bit of lemonflavour, and lots of... soup. Bit thick (for the soup...), rest is slick. This is truly awful. Coriander mash makes no beer - whatever Ir. Roger Mussche might say.

Bottle. The fizzy head forms pretty quickly while pouring so it took a while to get it all in the glass. Before the last little pour it was a really pale gold with lots of carbonation. The last pour adds the hazy appearance. Aromas are a little lemony, yeasty, grassy and maybe hint at cloves just a touch. Head is all but gone by now. Flavor is very thin and interestingly fruity. I had no idea what curacao orange peels tasted like, but I think I have an idea now. A little bit of a bready flavor lies under the fruitiness. Other than that, this is one of the blandest wits I’ve tried.

Expensive brown 12 oz bottle. Pop the lid and you get the wheat beer aroma, but it is not excessive like so many of these beers that are over spiced. The smell is simply clean and fresh like spring water. Very light yellow with a cloudy ’gunk on the bottom’ pour that causes a hypnotizing visual effect in the glass, simply gorgeous! Even after the yeast swish technique there is still a thick layer of stuff on the bottom of the bottle. Very friendly first taste impressions, no detectable bitterness. Easy friendly and likable, no hints of alcohol. Has some very light mild orange peel or banana fruitiness in there. Well mannered and gentle, friendly and fun. Very enjoyable and quite wit bier experience. Creamy welcomed carbonation. This beer may be boring for an imp stout or IPA lover but this is right up the alley of my favorite style. Good example of a wheat beer. Finish is not bitter at all but there is this mild earthiness that develops on the palate after the session.

Paid $1.60 for a 12-oz single. Light yellow, cloudy, inch of white head. Aroma of sour banana. Light and lemony in the mouth with little other flavor, except for some minor back-end spices.
