Till 2005 brewed as Grain D'Orge Septante 5 Blonde.

True to its original recipe, the La Septante 5 blonde is the result of rigorous selection of raw materials: caramel and roasted malts, fine hops, water of exceptional purity. As for her ambrée, dense and tasty replica, she will delight the amateurs.

Bottle (bought anywhere in Calais): Golden, lazy carbonation, small, presumably creamy foamy layer, delicate fruity-orangey nose, accompanied by a discreet "grainy" sourness and a tinge of alcohol; light to moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, astonishingly light bodied for a beer of 7.5% ABV; sweetish-grainy-fruity-sourish finish. Bland and boring.............

Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly dry and the flavour is dry and slightly toffee. Overall very much like an English beer in parts, OK it is.

75cl bottle from Auchan, Calais. These beers are being brewed again. I also picked up the Ambree. This is a golden beer with thick creamy head. Some citric hop aroma. Pretty good blond biere de garde. Ticks all the right boxes, full creamy in mouth, hoppy citric finish, bit too sweet in the mouth maybe. Otherwise, very pleasant.
