On tap at the swan almondsbury. Golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma is fruity, but the taste is dominated by a strong acrid taste.

At the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, October 2013. Copper coloured with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish bitter, with some decent malts, a touch of hedgerow fruit and middle of the road finish. Ok.

Cask half pint at JDW, Victoria Station, London. ABV was 4.3%. Copper colour, moderate white head. Smooth and malty aroma and flavour, not sweet, biscuity. No off-flavours, but not very interesting.

Cask at the Moon Under Water (JDW), Watford on 25 October. Poured a clear copper colour with a rocky white head and some lacing. Aroma was slightly sulphurous with some malt and copper. Malty flavours at the fore with some straw and cereal. Finish was grassy hops and stale malt. Rather bland.

Cask at the Kings Highway, Inverness, 19/10/13. Clear copper coloured with a good sized off white head. Nose is thin, light bready malts, hint of fruit. Taste carries more depth, caramel, fruit, hint of coffee cake (yeah!), biscuit malt. Medium bodied, smooth on the palate, good conditioning on this number leading to a malt lead subtle bitterness in the closure. Ok innoffensive offering I guess!

The flavour is quite sweet with some prominent caramel. A good, easy to drink session bitter.

Amber, clear, thin bubbly white head
Aroma of slight sulphur, dull cereal, touch of toasted malt, bit metallic
Taste of light caramel, soft toasted malts, some bitter mineraly yeast, bitter twiggy hops
Palate - Light body. Finish of english bitter twigs, lingering bitter, dryish bit metallic finish
Overall - This just wasn’t good here....will re-rate if see again looking at the other reviews

Wetherspoon Beer Festival. Identifiably a bitter in nature, this is copper coloured with a very thin head. Malts in nose and taste. Session drink.
