Draught at the brauhaus in Durlach
Cloudy orange-amber color; generous creamy head. Malt and hop aroma, milder than I expected from Vogel; the hop takes some time to develop it’s delicate qualities, some biscuity malt too. Correct body strength; quite good malt and caramel flavor; rapidly a good touch of toasted malts appear; there is maybe some sweetness, but it appears to be drier than your average Märzen, also because, not in the Märzen style but for sure in the Vogel style, the bitterness is very hig; luckily the hop has some noble aromatic components. A bit rude, but as usual also an extremely hopped and enjoyable beer by Vogel.

Draught Hazy amber-reddish, smaller collapsing head with shards of lace. Quite grassy, maltsugars, bit of caramel. Quite hoppy! This is actually pretty good - bitterish underbuild of slightly coloured malts. Ends fully sharp-hoppy. Rather well bodied, grist slickness. Surprisingly good, well-hopped Märzen. Only complaint about Vogel: why only two beers at the same time available?
