Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, roast, liquorice, cocoa, dark chocolate, hint of coffee. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter with a fairly dry finish. Body is medium, carbonation could be a bit softer. A bit flawed, but enjoyable roasty liquorice Stout.

Too much carbonation, but when that disappears you get loads of flavours, amazingly rich. Hardcore bitter, like chewing coffee, some cocoa.

Bottle shared at Maakun’s, merci. Black with creamy tan head. Deep roasted malts, salmiak, licorice, laurel, salty. Light sweet and moderate salty. Oyster stout without oysters. Interesting stuff. Not fantastic but definitely not bad. Interesting stuff.

Bouteille: Literally black, firm and creamy tanned head; moderate to solid bitter-sweet aroma of dried fruits, roasted malt and caramel with slight ashy traces; solid bitter-sweet flavour, meddium to full bodied, creamy MF; lingering sweet-bitter, roasty and ashy finish. Good and moreish...
