Donker bruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is licht zoet met iets van anijs, karamel en iets van kersen en bessen.

Bottled(330ml). -Dark amber coloured, small beige airy head. Sweet malty and caramel aroma with fruity and mild chocolate notes. Nice spicy and fruity finish, but something is missing.

Very dark chestnut beer; small, brownish tinted head. Dark malts, chocolate malt, chestnuts or other nuts, quite sweet nose. Sweet chocolate flavour, even "praliné"; liquorice, some roasted malts. Medium to well bodied. Burnt/roasted flavours come up in the aftertaste. Sweet, even when not bad. One does never know where a "Sterkens" beer is brewed, but in this instance, Huyghe is more than plausible.
