Medium muddy brown. Lightly roasted, some cocoa notes, a decent bitter profile sort of overshadows the porter aspects. Decent brew.

Draft pour pint at stop #1 of my on foot Seattle tour. Research for an upcoming video documented experience. I am thankful for the wealth of beer places and breweries that are open at 11 on a Monday/Holiday. Listed at 5.4. Cola black pour with a cream foam head and lace. Sugar sweet, light roast aroma. Flavor is rich chocolate, soft roast, and a bit watery. Has a decent hop presence as well. If I didn’t know better I could mix this up with a CDA, but the styles seem to overlap in certain cases anyway. Overall a tasty beer, but a little watery and I’m missing the bold porter factor that I love. Still a good beer though.

On tap at Big Time, pours a dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of charcoal in typical coal porter fashion. Flavour is well-balanced, with dry cocoa powder and light roast. Decent porter, just nothing special.

Draft - Roast malts and butterscotch. Deep brown with a decent light brown head. Dark roast, toffee and a burnt bitter chocolate finish. Complex and pretty nice.

Draught at the brewpub, 5.4% ABV
Black color, with creamy head. Not very Porter, but it has a nice aroma of roasted malts. There is some flavor of very dark chocolate, but covered by the high roastiness character; in the final, with the roasted malts and ashes, there is still some underlying chocolate.
More Stout than Porter, but good.
