It's summer, the sun is out and Half Mast is the perfect way to celebrate. An IPA with a quarter of the alcohol, but not lacking in the flavour, impact balance that you would expect from a Siren beer. This golden coloured IPA has a surprising malt base given it's strength, low bitterness, but it's popping with juicy mango and grapefruit. Truly the perfect summertime drink.

1/3 pint measure, keg at Friends of Ham. Low white head that left solid lacing down the glass. A slight haze to a golden body. Inviting tropical fruit and juicy malts on the nose. Fresh citrus taste, hints of lemon and grapefruit. Smooth bitterness to the ending. Soft in the mouth. Does not feel diluted at all. A well-made super refreshing, session beer (Leeds 07.07.2014).

Keg at Brewery Tap, 21st June 14. Grapefruit on the nose and taste, lovely head and body. Can’t believe the taste and body for a 2.8 ABV beer. Very good if you want a low alcohol beer

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy golden orange with an off white head. Aroma of grapefruit, mango, heavy tropical fruity hops. Flavor is light sweet and over moderate bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation. Completely about the hops, but at this ABV that’s to be expected.

Bottle from Vino Wines. Hazy amber body with tiny yeast particles floating around. Lively carbonation. Medium white head that leaves light lacing marks. Aroma of grapefruit, mango and chives. Spritzy grapefruit and cucumber flavour. Thin body with a watery texture. Average carbonation. A stunning low alcohol beer - perfect for summer.

Bottle @ benzai shared by me. Clear golden amber colour with a big white to off-white head. Smells hops, chives, fresh, fruity, some pine. A lot of smell coming of this light beer. Nice! Tastes hops, slightly fruity, fresh, bitter and a bit watery, but not as watery as I expected. Thin body, nice crisp carbo. Great beer.

Bottle @ home shared by Dutchdrebus. Slightly hazy orange color, full sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma of malts and hops. Taste malts, hops, light to moderately bitter and light to moderately fruity. Amazing flavor for a beer of only 2.8% ABV. Medium body and carbonation. Lovely and superbly done.

On tap at the Red Lion, Cricklade 11/1/2014. Slightly hazy gold with a decent white head. Pleasantly hoppy, with some tropical fruits and pine, with more than offset the rather thin body. A good low ABV beer.
