A dry-hopped height test pale ale. Strong malt body and big hop flavor.

Draught Hazy orange-amber, with just a rim of yellow head, leaving unreal amounts of lace. Hops, not overpowering, with a flowery, nearly rosepetal quality. Very hoppy, hopbitter, near-metallic flavour, quite some maltbacking, but not really contributing a lot to the taste, rather the MF. Retronasal some non-sweet licorice flavour. Medium to well-bodied. Certain slickness. A reasonably good IPA, balance being still lopsided, in that I need some malt taste somewhere.

On Tapat Skagit River Brewery and Taproom. Hazy orange/amber with a small off white head. Lots of citrusy hopsin the aroma and a fairly sweet malt/hop combo in flavor. Good body and feel with a nice hoppy bitter trailer. Glad to see a nice IPA from these guys.

Cask, at the brewery
Got the dregs, so it’s murky as hell. Citrusy, yeasty aroma. It’s like a yeast & hop sandwich so I grabbed a keg. Here it’s still a little murky but not nearly as yeasty in flavour. Nonetheless, it was a little muddled, with fruity notes and diacetyl amidst the hops.

Bottled. Hazy red, rich head. Aroma of caramel and grapefruit. Intensely and aggresively hoppy. There’s citrus and licorice and some cookie malt in the background. The finish is tremendously hoppy with enough inky bitterness to kill someone.

Deep gold color. Citrus nose. Some hops in the finish but not enough for an IPA. Not a bad offering from a sub par brewery.
