Draught at the brewpub, 5.8% ABV
Muddy pale blond color with creamy head. The aroma is fresh and delicate, a bit breadish. Smooth mouthfeel, with a good body structure; the wheat flavor is quite heavy, with maybe just too much bitterness, some spices, no fruits.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours very hazy and dirty gold, but not quite so dirty as the picture. Banana and clove aroma. Flavor is the same. That’s it. A very good hefe.

Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy yellow color with a small white head. Has a wheat malty banana aroma with some spicey hints. Wheat malty banana and citrus flavor with some hints of clove. Has a slightly sweetish wheat malty finish with hints of bananas and citrus.

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a fully opaque hazy straw color with lasting ring of white foam. The aroma is full for a hefe with a blast of citrus lemon, banana, mild bubble gum backed up by a hint of grainy Munich type malts. The flavor is much the same with an initial tart lemon note that lingers to the finish and beyond. Then sweet sugary malts enter along with mild banana and vague spices.

Draught Fully yeasty yellow "colour", virtually no head. Lemony, clovey and some citrus notes in the nose. Sweet-sour wheat, citrus flavour and some esters, with a liberal dash of eugenol. Looks fuller bodied than it is, wheat slickness all the same. Flagship, they say. Wouldn’t think so.

Draught at the brewpub. Muddy yellow. Aroma of banana and toffee. Sweet with somewhat syrupy mouthfeel. Low carbonation. Plenty of banana character. Flavourwise it’s very good, but it feels a bit young and raw.

On Tap at the brewpub. That beer pic is no joke. The thing looks like a milkshake. Lots of the clasic German Hef aromas. Soft fuits, cloves, mildy sweet yeast and, yes..bananas. The feel is soft and carbonation is a bit low. Easy drinking, classic and flavorfull for the style.

Drawn off the top of the keg, which they assure me makes for the yeastiest imaginable brew. It definitely seems that way. It looks more like a milkshake than anything related to beer. More hefe than weizen on the palate, too, along with wheaty tartness, phenols and banana notes. Big-bodied and complex, with a spicy finish. Beats the previous record for opaqueness, held by Uzbekistan’s Gambrinus Nefiltrovane.
