26 oz bottle. Clear dark brown pour with a beige head and excellent retention. Good lacing. Dark molasses and caramel flavor with a light booze finish. 6.0 ABV not well hidden. Disappointing. More like a heavy amber ale than a brown ale.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a semi-transparent brown color with a thin cap of a white semi-foamy head. Sly lace.
The aroma had some caramel, chocolate, toast and nuts.
The flavor definitely leaned towards the sweet side through all of the prior mentioned flavors. Muted toffee aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt appropriate as projected.
Overall, decent brown ale leaning towards the English side.

On tap at Craft Beer Market Vancouver, pours a murky brown with a small beige head. Aroma of toasted nuts, a little coffee and slight cocoa. Flavour brings out toasted hazelnuts, a little coffee and slight cocoa. Quite flavourful and really well-balanced. Much better than the average rating would suggest. Good stuff.

Take a look at this one’s rates, it has sour/infection issues. That said, it isn’t so horrendous if you are unaware of such things. Unfiltered red--orange body. Monstrous steady infected head. I gave up after a few sips. Just off, very disappointing.

Draught at the brewpub
Brown color, clear, with creamy head. Light aroma of roasted malts. Nice flavor of caramel and roasted malts, where the light sweetness is a pleasant complement; correct bitterness.
Pleasant.

From a bomber. Very nice bready aroma. Pour is rather foamy. Lots of co2 on the buds. Big beefy flavor is mellowed by the sizzle in this beer. Seems a tad wild. Yes, bitter fer sure with an alky kick but that co2 is kick ass. Foam continues on top of the beer. Lingering hop bitter finish for quite a while. Zippy.

Medium brown color with a smallish off-white head. Mild malt aroma. Slightly sweet with a dry finish. I was expecting more.
