This is a beer that will make you rethink your definition of beer. It doesn’t taste like any beer you’ve ever had, yet it doesn’t taste like anything else either. Pushing the limits of brewing is what makes this job so much fun. Malted barley, wild yeast, hand picked Muscat Grapes, and French oak wine barrels are just a few of the things that went into crafting this beer. Breathe deep, take a long sip, and enjoy the creation in your hand.

Cloudy golden with a tiny white head. Weak aroma of funk, dusty cellar, wood and grass. Sweetish and tart, mostly fruity flavour with lots of pineapple, some wood, dusty cellar, and herbal notes. Subtle, but quite complex.

Head gone in secs, hazed orange-ochre beer. Sour grapes, muscat indeed, Japanese sushi ginger. Sweeter than gueuze, but balanced. Some meaty esters as an extra. citric sourish with a strange sweety (fruity) impression. Tart, dry-out effect. Bit soapy, yet refreshing. Messrs Capt. Lawrence, come over some time, and try an Eylenbosch Druivengueuze. Yes, we’ve had the definition already signed in Belgium. Since 1979, lol. Many thanks to Ryan & Victor!

/12/12/13//12

750ml bottle, Batch 2. Pours a lightly hazy, bright gold with a cloudy white head. Nose is awesome, smells like a classic Cantillon, musty, dandelions, white pepper, white grapes, grass, light band aid. Great aroma. Flavor is tart, lemon peel, flower pollen, citrus zest, white sour grapes, lacto, pedio. Medium bodied, zesty, spritzy finish. Smooth, refreshing, great flavor. Great beer.

Bottle (Batch 3) shared by badnewsbeers. Murky yellow to yellow-orange body, thin off-white ring of carbonation. Nose is a fruit medley- pineapple juice, banana, and white grape, sweet and phenolic with some spice. Better than Boku. Tart body, not overly sour, with pineapple, banana, white grape, and pear, sweet and reminiscent of an Alsace muscat with more sugar. Very nice interplay of sour, sweet, and fruit notes. Excellent beer.

Bottle at BCTC 2010. Pours light gold, hazy, with a medium off-white head. Fairly malty aroma with good sour notes and light fruits. Flavor begins with some fruity sweetness then goes quite sour with brett and acid. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and a tart character. Finishes sour and lip-puckering. Very good beer. (4.1)
Bottle at The Fruit Sour Tasting, London - thanks to Jack. Pours foggy gold with a few bubbles for a head. big funk and tang nose. Light to medium sweet, dry, fresh, plenty of lactic tang. Light bodied with soft, fine carbonation. Fresh, tart finish, lightly acidic. Very well rounded. (4.2)
