Bottle bought as 2 year old, but more probably 4; 1.5l version. Might be discontinued, enquiring Full of U.F.O.’s, fine dark particles in dirty dark red-amber beer; off-white head, fast gone. Woody, chocolate, nose like barrel-aged, quite vinous, nearly brandylike. Lots of fusels. Sweet, chocolate-like sweetened taste, again barrel-aged tastes & esters; strangely nowhere tart; fruitlike like sweet cherries or dates. Some madeirisation. Slick MF, thinner than reality probably. Can one imagine an Oud bruin, that has been wood-aged, and subsequently cut with new sweet worts, or virtually unfermented young beer? This is the only way to explain this weird taste.
