GABF 2013 (titled Wild Pitch Hefeweizen). Pours a hazy golden appearance with an off whtie head. Quite heavy phenols in the nose - banana, clove, vanilla and a fair amount of sweetness. A touch tart, lemon, banana, big bubblegum flavor. A little overdone in multiple respects, but not overly bad.

Turbid gold - frothy head - nose is strong clove and white pepper phenols, along with some earthy, tangy wheat - low.carbonation, medium body - bubblegum esters are a bit high in the flavor, as is thr banana - I prefer drier, more peppery and clove-heavy hefes - it presents this in the nose, but only in the finish in flavor - however, still a solid hefe - way better than most American examples.

Very hazy light yellow appearance. Fresh pale malt aroma with light banana notes. Sweet, creamy character, fresh-tasting with the esters and phenols kept rather subdued, leaving the focus to the pale malts.

Yellow, greenish shine. Nearly no head. Nose with obligatory banana - cloves, but OK. Quite sweet, a bit too for my liking, bubblegum. Tinge of mint in the flavour. Medium-bodied. Typical, and it would fit in Germany, very true to the originals.
