Sample at Eurostash III tasting on 01/12/2012: Bottle from a small shop in Strasbourg. The beer is a clear yellow color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of pale malts and grass. Light body with flavors of doughy malt and mildly bitter grassy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Barely average gimmick beer overall.

[11.2oz Bottle - Johns Market - what a great place] Nice clean aroma. Not a hint of corn. Maybe a bit of yeast. Golden color is slightly hazy with a decent white head. Citrus? A bit of sour? Some grape as one swallows? At least medium bodied as the carbonation swishes. The finish is a bit herbal and has some citrusy sour - but very light. This is a subtle beer. It’s very good stuff, a lager an ale drinker should not snear at.

Pour is a cloudy yellow with a white head. Aroma is grassy and floral. Flavor is musty and barnyard. Lots of floaties made it to the bottom of my glass. I agree with heemer that this is more of a saison than a lager. In the end this is just ok. Nothing really comes out at you except for her ass after you scratch off her knickers.

Bottle. Light orange malt aroma. Medium yellow with large head. Sour flowery hops flavor. Okay but not great - probably worth it for the label.

Thanks to Skaughty for this one! This looks good going into the glass, bright golden color, crystal clear, nice dense white head. The aroma is the first clue that this beer has some faults. Soapy aroma. While there are no horrible flavors to follow the aroma, unfortunately there were no real good malt or hop flavors there either. Thin, wet, cold and refreshing with no more beer character than a typical American Light Lager.

Completely clear, gold. Thick white head, not stable. Grain-and-chaff nose, baked pie, fresh paint. Very faint malt taste, bitter finish. Watery mouthfeel, refreshing, but bitterness sits unnatural upon the malt, unbalanced. Unnecessary, bad taste as its label. Gambrinus, Mulhouse is NOT a brewery, but somebody buying beer in bulk in Belgium from various breweries (it tells so on this label). The Lager version is from an unknown Belgian source.
