Made for Merendree and named after a local saint. Occasional beer only made available from tap and very likely an alias of Bornem Tripel.

Colour of old gold, clear; very fine lacy white head, stable. Nose is slightly spicey and sweetish - some madeirisation? - though not old. Very little aroma, really. taste of orange rind, high percentage of unfermented sugar; sweet surrounded by bitterness. Very rounded, full-bodied. Alcohol prominent. In the aftertaste, the non-hop bitterness becomes obstructive. Again one of Van Steenberge's labelbeers for a community in its neighbourhood. Served in one of the village better restaurants as 'apéritif'.
