Privyet, which means ʻhiʼ or ʻheyʼ, is the base beer for our award-winning, bourbon barrel-aged Dosvidanya®. Even though this beer isnʼt aged in oak barrels, it greets you with a color as dark as night, a thick, tan head & predominant characters of dark chocolate and roasted malts with abundant fruity esters. Generous hop additions balance the maltiness of this beer, along with a mouthfeel that is rich, creamy, full and smooth. Ypa!

12 oz. can. Pours black, with a big, foamy, brown head. The nose is coffee, pecans, cocoa powder, red wine tannins, and apricot. Sweet and syrupy, with a mild, abrasive bitterness. Heavy body, with an oily, sticky, kinda astringent palate. This is a pretty nice stout.

It is curious how my local craft beer store here in west Texas gets a steady stream of beers from an Illinois brewery. No comprendo. I purchased a four pack of 12 oz cans of Privyet, this is the first one to taste. I've got my Great Heights tulip glass for this one, making the pour now. Black as the ace of spades and a thin but steady skim of light tan foam. And I will say the scent is attractive, some chocolate sweetness, dark fruit and berries. The taste does not disappoint. Dark chocolate, a bit of char, strawberries, malt, pecans and wheat bread. The alcohol is sneaky, all covered up. That is all right, one and done.

Pour is a midnight black with a fairly large tan head. Aroma is a nice almost intense charred malt with some bakers chocolate. Flavor is thick and heavy with sweet molasses and lots of roasted malt with a nice char just a ever so slight alcohol. This was a real nice straight forward Russian Impy stout.

The aromas are roast, black patent, molasses, dark malt. Flavors are similar to nose definitely on the sweet side, a little heavy with the molasses which I'm not really a fan of but otherwise fairly decent. some bitterness lingers on the tongue into the finish with good carbonation.
