Bottle. Pitch black, smaller and nonlasting coffee cream head. Medium chocolate nose, nice. Some cream and vanilla presence in the back, light roastiness. Moderate sweetness, lots of cream and vanilla, some chocolate. Slight blackcurrant soury fruity feeling, a bit of roatiness. ;ilder bitterness. Lasting aftertaste. A bit warming, but just slightly. Silky body.

Bottle. Black sporting a small and short-lived beige head. Aroma of soy sauce, smoked sausages, a hint of chocolate and vanilla. Taste of roasted malts, chocolate, liquorice and just way too much vanilla for my liking. Moderate bitterness. Some sweetness. Medium to strong carbonation. Unbalanced. After the first few sips I don’t feel that inclined to finish this bottle. Fortunately it gets better. Nevermind me though as I guess I generally like the very idea of vanilla stouts more than the actual execution.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Black, small head. Aroma of licorice and vanilla. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Coffee, chocolate lqueur and lots of vanilla. Warming finish. The vanilla gets a bit cloying.

ABV: 10.0%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate, dark malt, chocolate - vanilla, vanilla, alcohol, moderate roasted. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, chocolate - cocoa, cocoa, vanilla, alcohol, rich, chocolate, dark malt, light wood - smoked notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20210512]

330ml bottle. Jet black colour, no head, only a ring of beige bubbles that quickly fades away. Sweet-ish, dark malty and spicy aroma, notes of vanilla, hints of treacle. Taste is sweet-ish, spicy and dark malty, notes of vanilla, hints of treacle and dark chocolate; slightly warming, alcoholic finish. Oily to viscous texture, smooth, soft, silky palate, fine and soft carbonation. Very simple, monotonous, undercomplex, vanilla dominated - so-so.

Bottle at home May 2020. Kept this way to long I think. Pours black, tart aroma, dark malts. Taste is tart, sour, Brett, dark malts and molasses. I think it’s spoilt. Still drank most of it

Aus der Flasche (bbe 15.03.2021) im 2020-10 getrunken. Dieses dunkle Bier errinnert mich mehr an ein dunkles, süssliches Malzbier mit leichtem Vanillearoma als an ein Stout. Der hohe Alkoholgehalt ist perfekt eingebunden und paßt sehr gut. Leckeres und unkomplizierte Bier!

Aroma: Roasted malt with caramel and vanilla. Flavour: Sweet roasted malt with caramel, chocolate and a hint of vanilla. Aftertaste is malty sweet with chocolate and coffee. Colour: Dark brown with a tan head. From: Voldby Købmandsgårds Ølmesse 2019

Bottle @ Die Kleine Bierstube, Aarhus. Black with a small light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla. FlVor si quite sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 270620
