Das Schleppe Porter ist ein tief dunkles, beinahe schwarz anmutendes, obergäriges Bier mit deutlichen Röstmalznoten. Eine ausgeprägte cremefarbene Schaumkrone ergänzt den herrlichen optischen Eindruck. Die Verspieltheit der feinen Hopfenaromen, die die kraftvollen Röstmalznoten zart umschließen, verleiht diesem Bier seine geschmackliche Ausgewogenheit.

Bottle 0.33l from Wien, aged for more than one year. Almost clear, really dark red colored. AROMA- low, roasted malts, dark chocolate, caramel, cocoa powder. FLAVOR- dry, lightly bitter, roasted malts, caramel, touch of sour cherry, cherry, jostaberry. Medium bodied. Aged one is not bad. I don't want to know how's the fresh one.

33cl bottle. A almost black beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of sweet dark malt, chocolat, dark fruits. Taste of sweet dark caramelized malt, chocolte, some liquorice. Good!

Tap at Craft Bier Fest Wien. Aroma does not prepare you for the sour contaminated kick it delivers in taste. Pity, because beneath it seems subtly malty and good. But it is ungood.

0.33 l bottle from Beer Lovers, Vienna. Drank from the bottle on the train to Prague, travelling to visit my mentor and a friend, Marko. Black. Aroma is roasty, sugary coffee, dried fruit and brown sugar. Slightly metallic in flavour, light spicy touch, brown sugar, fruit, too sweet. Finish is dark bread, slightly tart, roasty, toasty, cardboard. Some dark fruit remains. A bit messy, texture kinda rough, medium body. Lasting dry finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Aroma is toasted malts and caramel, more like an amber lager than a porter. Body is medium, caramel, thinnish, strong carbonation, not much else. Meh.

Ich trinke sehr gerne schwarze Biere, besonders Porter und Stouts, darum maße ich mir schon eine gewisse Erfahrung an. Und dieses Bier ist qualitativ irgendwo in der unteren Mitte anzusiedeln. Es hat allerlei interessante Aromen, aber diese sind nicht besonders ausgeprägt. Es mag zwar als solide durchgehen, aber ein großer Genuss ist es nicht.

0,1l from tap at Craft Bier Fest Vienna shared by Geiserich, big thanks. black color, small off-white head. smells acidic, citric, some exotic fruits, licorice. nice smell. medium body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes citric, exotic fruits, mango, pines, light licorice, bit earthy. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of grass, pines and mango. very nice one, very hop forward, more like a Black IPA, not much Porter in this one.
