50 cl bottle at Norma, Nuremberg.Golden colour. Medium to minimal white frothy head with average lacing. Sweet malts and fresh hops, grassy aroma .Malt , fruity, grass flavour. Refreshing for a Heller Bock with a good hops presence. Oily texture .Medium body. Average carbo. Long finish. Quaffable

Braustolz Maibock, Flasche von einem Berliner Edeka. - Helles Goldbraun, blank. - In der Nase bocktypisch fettes helles Malz, zart rauchig, dazu matte, blaß holzige Hopfung und plumpe alkoholische Schwere. - Antrunk fett hellmalzig mit billiger Karamelsüße und vager Hopfung, die in plumpe Bittere ausläuft. Anklänge an Plastik, Zitronat und Kräuterlikör. Milder rezent, vollmundig, überdeutlich alkoholisch. Im Abgang derbe Bittere mit schrillen Zügen. - Plumpe, billig gemachte Karikatur eines guten Maibocks, nur mit Mühe trinkbar. Das einzig Attraktive daran ist das Etikett im Stil der 1920er Jahre. Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker. Pours clear golden. Aroma is flowers, soap, phenols. Body is medium, sweet and sugary, diabetes. Sweet palate. Could be worse.

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Nice spicy aroma. Starts strong, fine malty-spicy notes. Woody hints, hoppy-dry background. Well balanced finish. Quite drinkable for a bock. Nice!

(bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Slightly dusty and strawy malty nose with grainy accents, accompanied by slightly grassy hops. Moderately sweet and discreetly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Malty start with notes of white bread, shades of biscuits, grassy hops in the background; sweet malty and discreetly hop bitter finish. Basic. 20.VII.16

Lahev (Diky do Kostníc!): Golden, clear, medium sized and only slowly collapsing white head; mild to moderate sweetish grainy-dusty nose, barely hops, but some almonds instead underneath; mild to moderate sweetish flavour with a very delicate bitterness; medium bodied; quite short sweetish-bitter finish. A simple Karl-Marx-Stadt brew...

Pours a clear golden with tiny off-white head. Aroma is malt, caramel and bread. Flavour is malt, medium sweet.

bottle from local Norma. Golden yellow with a tall white head. Malty nose. Malty start, quite full-bodied, with hints of hay, grass, honey and a toiuch of vanilla. Smooth palate.
