Golden Ale is the first beer we ever brewed. We were inspired coming back from a trip to UK. This was back in 2004. During the first year of production we changed the recipe quite a lot. Today it’s one of the most popular Ales in Sweden. We think it’s the perfect pub beer but it goes well to many different dishes as well. Golden Ale is characterised by a clean malt flavour, medium body and medium bitterness. The two different hop varieties contribute with earthy notes with a hint of honey and citrus

On tap at Akkurat, Stockholm on 20th June 2012. Clear amber, white lasting head and full lacing. Rich hoppy aroma with grassy hops. Rich hoppiness balanced by sweet malts in-mouth. Hops continue in the foreground during finish with a developing bitterness. Zingy mouthfeel.

Dark blond colour. Thin lacy head. Nice aroma that is both sweet and hoppy. Well balanced flavour. At first the slightly sweet but well rounded malts then later the hops come through to leave a very pleasant, moorish finish.

Pours golden with a small creamy white head that clings to the glass while dissipating. Smell is sweet with some sweet fruits like apricot and bread. Taste is slightly sweet and rather bitter with malty bread, some ripe grapes and dried apricot. Finish is subtle and slightly bitter.

33 cl bottle @ home as ”Oppigårds Golden Summer Ale”, BBE 11/2011
Aroma is rather fruity with hops. Flavour has lots of hops that remind me of goldings, but unfortunately also some plastic comes through. Also some bready malt at the end of the glass. Still, refreshing and rather hoppy for a golden ale.
