QUERIDO AMIGO
Resist! As in, ”how can you resist this crisp & refreshing Mexican style lager, specifically made for mortals?“ It’s heaven on earth, a place where love comes first. It’s like thunder & lightning, the way it drinks is frightening. Say ”adios“ to beer geeks and ”opa!“ to cerveza Greeks. Listen to the sound of Heyzeus’ mariachi Zeppelin cover band, Martillo de los Dioses, they are breaking down walls in craft beer.

¡DON’T HATE, BEBAMOS!

Can at the Beervana Carnival, 2018, Bangkok. Poured a crystal clear, yellow golden colour with a lasting thin white head. The aroma is yeasty, floral, cardboard, light hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a crisp, light, slightly watery, floral, grainy, dry hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Truly awful. I poured most of what I had.

Can. Corn, barley malt, and hay aroma. Medium yellow with moderate head. Mildly sweet corn/barley malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Okay body. Decent.

Draught. Yellow pour with white head. Light grassy aroma. Balanced taste with a mix of hop bitterness and hop sweetness. A hint of maize?

Can picked up from Beer-ma Kanda. Pours nice straw yellow, light haze (it's also well chilled), some white foam on the top, about right amount of that. Corn and light sour wet cloth in the nose, wet malts, a bit sweet. Taste is better, full on crisp bread, light wet malts edge to it, relatively crisp still. Doesn't feel like a pilsner - but more like international lager, brewed with rice. Which it probably is - but for this style it's actually not bad at all, you can pretty much drink it as long as you want. Overall, still an international pale lager - but not a bad one.
