Resist! As in, ”how can you resist this crisp & refreshing Mexican style lager, specifically made for mortals?“ It’s heaven on earth, a place where love comes first. It’s like thunder & lightning, the way it drinks is frightening. Say ”adios“ to beer geeks and ”opa!“ to cerveza Greeks. Listen to the sound of Heyzeus’ mariachi Zeppelin cover band, Martillo de los Dioses, they are breaking down walls in craft beer.

¡DON’T HATE, BEBAMOS!

Very crisp, super pale golden coloured body with a nice two to three centimetre tall, pure white head. Aroma of lemons, limes, light malts, a touch of biscuits, some yeast and grain and a dash of floral hops and even some pepper - very nice in the nose, especially for the style. Light-bodied; Super powerful lime zest, lemon and coriander seed notes dominate with a great bite of mild malt and lager yeasts with a dry, herbal quality and some softer sweetness towards the end that almost tastes like sucralose. Aftertaste shows the very soft and enjoyable light yeast and malts with a ton of lemon and especially lime zest flavours that make this very refreshing and super nice. Overall, a dry and very nice, super flavourful (especially for the style) light, 'mexican style' lager that hits all the right notes and then some. Naturally, this isn't one of my favourite styles, but easily the best one i've had. Get this one if you can find it and it's warm and summer! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Timmon's Market in Rapid City, South Dakota on 30-June-2020 for US$1,99 sampled in my hotel room the following day here in Rapid City, South Dakota on 01-July-2020.

Pours clear light gold with a small white head. It smells of grainy malt. The flavor is mostly a bland, light, malty sweetness. It's refreshing, light bodied, and has no off flavors, making it better than the vast majority of beers of this style, but that's a low bar.

Got in a trade with The-Adjunt-Hippie. 12 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 1/17/2019. Pours slightly hazy pale golden straw color wit ha 2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light corn, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity corn aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light corn, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, light corn, wood, peppercorn, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes present. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a delicious American pale lager. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great clean pils malt/grain showcase, with nice noble hop presence/balance for the style. Mild on adjuncts. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected.

Can: Clear, pale, golden yellow with a puffy white head. Corn, barley....slightly vegetal scent. Taste is barley malt, corn, water.....a bit of mineral bitter.....corn syrup. Not really bad, the extra bittering gives it SOME character.....otherwise, a less than standard lager.

12 oz can. Aroma is corny, chalk, pretty macro-ish. Pours hazy pale yellow with a two finger off-white head with decent retention. Tastes like a Sol or Tecate, but fuller in mouthfeel. Excellent cerveza recreation. They nailed the profile and made it a little better.
