QUERIDO AMIGO
Resist! As in, ”how can you resist this crisp & refreshing Mexican style lager, specifically made for mortals?“ It’s heaven on earth, a place where love comes first. It’s like thunder & lightning, the way it drinks is frightening. Say ”adios“ to beer geeks and ”opa!“ to cerveza Greeks. Listen to the sound of Heyzeus’ mariachi Zeppelin cover band, Martillo de los Dioses, they are breaking down walls in craft beer.

¡DON’T HATE, BEBAMOS!

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Andover Liquors. Appearance is clear, pale, straw yellow with greenish tinge, nice sparkle, finger-width foamy white head with poor retention and mild soapy lacing. Aroma is biscuity malts, light cardboard, yeast, almost a vinegar quality as it warms. Taste is biscuit, light yeasty citrus fruit tartness, mild earthy bitter. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and dry finish as taste. Overall, this was elderly (born on date 9/10/17) but holding up surprisingly well. About as complex as you can get for the style.

Can sample at a tasting at kerenmk's place. Thanks kerenmk. Golden, white head. Graininess, floral and citric hops, slightly stale, a bit of bread, mildly sweetish, bitter finish, slightly lemony, quite light-bodied. Decent and refreshing.

Taste comprises toasted grains, pale malts, light citric peel, corn husk, cereals, grassy bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent clean lager.

355ml can, take-out from Brewdog Birmingham, drunk on the train, straight out the can like a boss. Nice zesty lemon and citrus hop on the nose. Taste is predictably light with a pale lager body, livened up a little with some pleasant lemon, soft citrus, perhaps some stone-fruit hints. Yeah for an IPL it's decent.. an ideal train beer.
