St. Bernardus Tripel is a traditional abbey beer that follows the classic tripel style. In the Watou region a tripel is often referred to as a ‘Bernadetje’. A fine tribute that pays homage to Bernadette, the youngest daughter of Evariste Deconinck, the man to whom the monks of Abbaye Sainte Marie du Mont des Cats sold their Belgian property in 1934. St. Bernardus Tripel is a blonde beer with an inviting golden hue and an impressive, velvety-soft head of froth. EBC 13.

Tap at Lambiczoon, Milan, with Vincent, 26th March 24. Pours straw yellow. Aroma is sweet, yeast, floral. Taste is floral, yeast, caramel, sweet, honey, quite hoppy and fresh. Nice

Another brew I assumed unrated needed to tick. Orange pour and small head. Nose is light yeast and fruits. Tastes of orange, bready, candy, banana, clove. Straight forward palate. Not as sweet and boozy as a lot of triples.

Catada en tulipa, color oro anaranjado, turbia, espuma blanca de buena retención. Al acercar la nariz a la copa se perciben notas aromáticas de levadura belga, pan, cereal, bizcocho recién hecho, plátano, especias (pimienta blanca, clavo). En boca entra impregnando el paladar de tonos florales y notas dulces de fruta madura (albaricoque, naranja, kumquat...) , inmediatamente equilibrado con un retrogusto de carácter amargo del lúpulo y especiado, una armonía que fluye en todas direcciones del paladar y no cesa...Deliciosa.

Saved it for review #500 - slightly cloudy orange pour with a stable white head, decent carbonisation. Aromas of orange, peach honey/sweets, malt, some yeast. Tastes of malt, grain orange, lemon, cake, yeast, peach, a hint of grass/hay slightly peppery aftertaste. Very nice
