Bottle. Hazy amber body with a thick off-white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of ash, blackcurrant and charcoal. Flavour of cigarettes, orange and coffee. Medium body with an oily texture. An unusual beer. For me, it didnโ€™t quite work - itโ€™s just too ashy.

330ml bottle. Barely clear, orangey, deep golden colour with huge, firm, frothy, fully lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Grassy, hoppy aroma with sweet-ish coffee interludes, widely disguised hints of tropical fruit, malty basis with almond touch. Taste is dry, bitter hoppy, grassy, minimally papery, bitter hints of coffee, disguised tropical fruitiness. Not that a Coffee IPA cannot work in principle, but this one seems to be a bit weird a mixture; on the other hand not the freshest sample, I have to admit.

Draught @ BBB. Pours tiny hazy golden with a small creamy offwhite head that leaves some sparse lacing on the glass while dissipating. Smell is slightly malty, slightly roasty, tiny fruity and tiny grassy with bread, caramel, grapefruit, coffee, mango, moist grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly bitter, slightly fruity, slightly roasty and tiny grassy. Mouthfeel is round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is slightly sweet and slightly bitter with bread, crackers, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, coffee, grass, pine needles and lemon zest. Solid stuff... Weird as all coffee IPAs tend to be but quite balanced and good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Weird Beard Out of Office on 29 Sep 2015 at 17:30 - Score: 7

Bottle shared by Joes. Hazy orange color, average sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, hops and coffee. Quite well blended together actually. Taste malts, coffee, some hops, firm coffee bitter and some hop bitter. Love it. Really well done! Good body and carbonation as well. Great brew!

On Tap at Colonna & Hunter, Bath. Hazy deep golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma doesnโ€™t have much coffee TBH but herby and fruity. The taste has a touch of toffee with a bitter citrus finish.
